Our services

Lone Star Media was founded as a web design and web hosting company. While we have expanded our products and services over the years, our commitment to providing the very best service remains our primary focus.

We utilize cutting edge technology and tools to provide your company with a web presence that reflects your company's identity. The sites that we build are all 100% accessible and standards compliant. We have developed a process that has been tested and retested for several years. We find that it helps speed up the development process. Click here for details about our web design process.

Our sites don't need "search engine optimization" as they are all built to interact with search engines from the start. Click here for more information about our search engine strategy.

Hosting is an often overlooked investment. The decision whether to host your web site externally or internally is not easy to determine. Lone Star Media can help you forecast your expenses to decide what the right solution is for your company. Click here for more information about our hosting services and our data center.

Web Design Process

We have a proven web design process that enables us to evaluate your needs and complete your project on time and on budget. Our web design process includes the following steps: Initial Consultation, Proposal, First Design Review, Wireframe Development, Application Development, Final Design Review, Beta Release and finally, Rollout.

Initial Consultation

This meeting will enable us to accurately define the scope of your project. We will discuss what the overall goal of the project is. Are you selling a product or service? Is this a marketing and/or content site? Are you looking to get better search engine saturation though our proven search engine optimization processes?

By identifying your goals and needs up front, Lone Star Media can provide a specific plan for achieving results!

Proposal

After outlining the needs and scope of your project, we will develop a comprehensive project proposal that will outline each of the next steps in the process. Our clients like our approach to the proposal stage because we give them options. Our recommendations are just that, recommendations.

First Design Review

Lone Star Media will deliver the first draft of the design for the web site for review by your team. This will be a screen shot example of what the site will look like in your browser. Your feedback is very important at this stage.

Wireframe Development

A wireframe is a text based outline of your entire web site. It will show each action that is possible on your site. Every link, form, button and script is noted. This allows us to identify potential problems up front so that they can be resolved as quickly as possible.

Application Development

This process is not necessary for more basic sites but generally our clients come to us because they also have a need to streamline or improve their current processes or software. We can retool existing pc applications and move them to a hosted software environment for increased scalability and broader access.

Final Design Review

Once the design has been completed, we will configure the design on top of the wireframe for final review. Any last minute changes in design and/or structure will be completed and the site will then be released in beta.

Beta Release

Usually the beta release is sent to other members of the organization that were not directly involved in the design processes. This last step enables us to catch any small issues before roll-out.

Roll-out!

The web site is officially rolled out; on time and within the allocated budget!
